The first baby goat of the season was born early yesterday morning. I wasn’t expecting Gray to kid first! My goat Sugar Plum has had a huge udder and looked ready to give birth at any minute for at least a week now.

Gray was very sick for a couple of months last year. Even a round of chemical dewormers i almost never use except in extreme cases didn’t help her get her weight or appetite back.

For over a month i fed her a teaspoon of copper sulfate and powdered kelp every day, and she gradually got better, and looks beautiful now!

Her baby is so gorgeous! I’m waiting until Clothilde comes back to find a name for her. Just enjoying the sweet baby goatness for now!
